Selvan Dynasty

The ruling body that resides over the vast trees of the Westfold Forests on Aldaria. Ruled primarily by the three many houses within the region that reside over the many bodies of elves and denizens within their respective areas.

Structure

Ruled at the top by the three ruling houses and their figureheads. From there it descends into a loose republic with many lower houses and castes all vying for attention and worth of their own deeds and doings.

Preservation and protection of the wilds, and defending against those who would disturb such.

History

Founded amidst the long swirling trees hundreds of years ago, the dynasty rose from the concerns of many people in the forests as a whole concerned for their well-being in the long forgotten and isolated villages.

Demography and Population

The entire lands of the Westfold Forests are ruled over by these people. A long life and health is promised to those who stay out of trouble, or get lucky. Populations are generally circled around the cities within, but smaller tribes are spread sporadically.

Territories

All of the lands are ancestral, and originally owned by some members of a tribe or city within the ruling bodies. There is much open space within the Dynasty however, small pockets of unknown or dark areas.

Military

Much of the military is the Kla'tani or elven people within the trees. Archers, bowman, and expert trackers and hunters, there is not much ground military built up to march around in the dense forest.

Foreign Relations

The Dynasty has good foreign relations with its neighbors to the East and South. Tensions remain of the draconic creatures of the north given how recent the wars were with the dragons tearing through their forests.
