Butchering of the Blackreach


The "Butchering of the Blackreach" was a terroristic attack on the Blackreach train as it rode along the Birmingham Line on the 5th of Raindraw, 215 Y.D. The perpetrator of the attack was Joseph Dawn, a half-elven man who destroyed the Blackreach with a number of explosive devices as it carried settlers towards Midriver. The attack resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innoscent settlers hoping to settle around Vaincrag Basin

The Butchering of the Blackreach saw a general increase in train security, and a gradual decline in personal freedoms offered to the settlers of the Valley in the name of security. The attack also dealt a serious blow to Birmingham Transport and their continued construction of the Birmingham Line, which has only recently resumed work on its railway to Puerto Rojo

Legacy

The Butchering of the Blackreach is remembered to this day through the Remember the Blackreach memorial holiday in the Iron Dominion.
