Draconic
Draconic is a language that was created by the Dragons of the Age of Creation, and has remained in use since. It is linguistically isolated from all other languages of Tellandria, and has its own script.
When Draconic was first spoken, its connection to magic was so powerful that somatic and material components were not required to cast spells. Every so often, a modern Draconic caster can harness that connection and save themselves a few thousand gold on components.
When you cast a spell in Draconic with a material component that is consumed by the spell, make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level. On a success, the component is not consumed.

Geographical Distribution
Draconic has historically been spoken widely throughout the region of Drak Tei, and is one of the official languages of the Drak Tei Union. The eminence of the Tundrentaug Syndicate in the Iron Dominion led Draconic to become a valued trade language during the Age of Upheaval.
