14 years after its introduction to the Valley, the Blackreach is destroyed while carrying settlers to Lochport by a saboteur by the name of Joseph Dawn, nicknamed the “Butcher of the Blackreach'' thereafter. The event leads to a greater Dominion military presence in the Northern end of the Valley and significantly curtailed freedoms.
