Alern Village
A small village en route to the capital, while often passed through on the way to other places, it's not a particularly bustling space. There's a market, an inn, and a jail. Those that live here often assume any travellers are not planning to stay long.
Demographics
Mostly human, a few Dwarfs and halflings.
Government
Higher up nobles living in the capital. There's a Mayor and a small police force. The local religion holds the most power.
Defences
The local guards/police have weapons and will do their best to take out any threats... Assuming they're getting paid more than what the troublemaker can offer.
Industry & Trade
Most work towards supporting travellers passing through, the inn, taverns, and shops selling supplies. There's a grocers and a butchers for food though.
Assets
A general basic equipment store and a place selling random trinkets.
Guilds and Factions
There's a religion to the sleeping God of Travellers. They hold the most power in the area, influencing many to move out on their own journeys and prioritising those on the way out of the town.
A bandit group is also a powerful force, working to rob said travellers on the way.
History
A small village on route to several more important settlements, those who lived here quickly realised the best way to survive was to work as more of a stop on the way.

Geography
In the middle of a forest, near a river for water. The area is small, and mostly quiet.
