Kauitl, the Chainbreaker

The Chainbreaker

A voluntary slave amongst those who were in debt in United Commonwealth of Tolan, Kauitl's life was unfair in many regards. One day these unfair treatments would change as a celestial from Havtacha would deposit a copy of Carnival's divine text. Kauitl's mind would be filled with divine revelations as he was able to read the text and became a cleric of Carnival. Many aspects of his treatment would further change upon the fall of Lakamha and a meeting with the Circle of the Black Star. He would be their healer, provider of hope, and a chaotic influence on their group dynamic. An influence seen as very valuable in the group as a whole. He would provide guidance when it came to the treatment of others' joy as well as the treatment of slaves in general. When he ascended, he vowed to end the era of slavery around the world and this goal was soon accomplished when the Church of the Black Star was formed from the ashes of the Universale Church. The Chainbreaker stands as a bulwark against the tides of those willing to entrap those under the malignant chains of indentured servitude forevermore.

Divine Intercession

Minor Boon. Once per day, upon failure or critical failure on a deception, stealth or persuasion check made to free someone, you gain an additional level of success to that check.
Moderate Boon. You and your allies within 15ft of you are harder to bind. Once per day, each creature is subjected to an effect that immobilizes them roll the check or save twice and take the higher result. This is a luck effect.
Major Boon. You are much harder to find, bind and catch. Your movement doesn't trigger reactions. You also always gain +2 circumstance bonuses to stealth and deception rolls.

Minor Curse. Your body stiffens and is harder to move. You take a -2 circumstance penalty to initiative checks
Moderate Curse. Ropes, chains, and other objects and equipment used to restrain shatter, splinter, or otherwise break when you touch them. Their fragments scatter and wound you, dealing 2d6 piercing damage, and the objects themselves are destroyed.
Major curse. What you took from others is now taken from you. Your body feels as if it is bound by an unseen force. All terrain is considered difficult terrain, through all means of movement. You also take a -2 circumstance penalty to effects that give the immobilized condition.

Depiction:

Kauitl is depicted as an armored goblin with large feathery wings on his back, emerald-colored skin, and eyes of pure silver. In his various depictions, he often bears a simple worker's hammer in his right hand while the other is shown reaching forward as if to aid someone.

Herald:

The herald is a celestial shown as a multitude of eyes with several pairs of wings. Little is known amongst mortals about the herald save for the nickname given to it by Kauitl himself: Liberty.

Realm:

A city reminiscent of many in Tolan at the time of his ascension, its central pyramid temple is always bustling with activity and music. Half of the realm is under a pleasant summer night while the other is under a bright and warm sunny day. It is named the Emerald City
