Fort Ozlec

Purpose / Function

Originally built to control travel along the western road in the South the fort is sat upon a hill overlooking much of the trade route.

Alterations

In the year 347 and again in 352 the fort was refurbished and expanded adding a series of prison buildings and a manor house with slave complex. These additions were to provide the fort administrator with ways of dealing with the abundant dragonborn slaves in the area.
In the year 416 a large amount of the fort burned down and was quickly rebuilt using quarried stone from the Southern Slopes.
Two years later after Ozlec Duskblossom took over the fort a series of 4 towers with stable posts and a large central keep were added with distinctly elven architecture. Including a chapel to Correlan Larethian.

Architecture

Mostly old Republic Style with white washed columns and fairly squat square structures. Recent additions have been in Elvish design, decorative with displays of leaves and often times covered in creeping ivy.

History

The fort was built during the Southern Conquests and was part of the initial lands of Bessinville. It was vital in the protection of trade during the Dragon Wars. But fell under the control of Ozlec Duskblossom in 417BI. This saw the trade racketeering of the Southsward Brigands expand quite heavily over the Southern trade.
