Var Nexa (Var - Nex - A)
As seen in
Var Nexa - The Origin of Calamity
The Central Area of [the world] - where the origin of all species (the "Primordial Soup") is located. This is the largest land mass on the planet, and the most difficult to cross. Partially due to its size, mainly due to the Calamities living within it.
Humanity once lived here before being forced to migrate to the Outer Plateaus by the Calamities that dominate the area.
Var Nexa doesn't always follow the normal rules seen on the Outer Plateaus - Forests with never ending earthquakes? Storm clouds that run along the ground? Mountains where gravity pulls sideways? All of these are known as the more reasonable areas of Var Nexa. There is almost no end to the bizzare and - some would say - unexplanable areas found within Var Nexa and, while many areas are more typical, these areas draw the most attention from Seekers.
Geography
This area is the largest single land mass on the planet, almost spanning the entire height of the world.
There is no set geography within it, though is generally much lower than the surrounding plateaus that run its edge. Subsequntley, the area has a denser atmosphere than what most Humans experience on the plateaus.
All types of habitats exist within the central area (Rivers, Mountains, Forests, etc.), but these do not follow the typical rules expected by human knowledge. Gravity pulling at a right angle, Thunder Storms that rumble at ground level, or Rivers that flow upwards - all of these and more are found spattered throughout the area, the reason for these phenomenons is unknown to humanity.
In the centre of the area spans a giant mountain - one that reaches over twice the height of the Human Plateaus. The top of this is believed to be where the "Primordial Soup" - where life first started from - is located.
