Nova

Nova is the capital of The Diladian Empire . It is also the largest city in all of Terra, with over 2.5 million inhabitants. The city sprawl continues on for miles and miles, with many of the buildings built several stories high, adding incredible density in many of the residential areas. The first thing that strikes you when you enter the city are the massive floating districts where the wealthiest citizens reside. This is also the seat of Syriax Vintari , ruler of the Diladian Empire.

Demographics

While mostly human, Nova has always been a very mixed race population. Half-races became quarter-races and now many of the citizens of Nova no longer know their exact lineage. You have almost human people with tusks, bearded halfling sized humans with elf ears, and every kind of mix you can imagine. However, that does not mean that mixed lineage is exactly desirable. Pyurmundi/Pyurmundus are those that have unbroken lineages, with no racial intermingling. The Sordidum are those who are "dirty", "untouchable", or "unclean" , meaning they are of mixed heritage. With very little exception, the wealth who live in the floating districts are Pyurmundi.

The rich flaunt their wealth dramatically and visually, wearing all manner of arcane fashions and ostentatious jewelry and technology. They capture their lives to be broadcast on viewing stones, the only real arcane tech that the masses are able to afford. These viewing stones are in nearly every home, and some are even carried in pockets or packs so that people can consume the vapid programs when waiting in line or traveling.
