Hexagonal Crystals commonly found in Mines or in places with active connection to the Void

Physical & Chemical Properties

Electrum Crystals change there Elemental Properties based on there Environment as follows:
  • Water - The Crystal secrete water amount is based on Environmental factors
  • Fire - The Crystal creates heat and can even begin to burn with yellow flames
  • Air - The Crystal creates wind currents in form with the current wind direction surrounding it
  • Earth - The Crystals Structural Integrity is greatly enhanced and begins to accelerate plant growth around it
  • Energy - The Crystal begins to charge it's self with electricity and if left unattended can create small Lightning storms
Besides that Electrum Crystals have a light yellow glow if lightly charged.  

Electrum Crystal are usualy only found in sizes up to 444.444m^3 and around 2kg heavy
The Largest Crystall erver found up to current year weight 3kg.

Compounds

Electrum Crystals can bind themselves to any other object strengthening that Objects connection to the Void. Although Electrum Crystals have problems interacting with eachother and so only one object (Elemental combination) can be infused with one Electrum Crystal.

Geology & Geography

Electrum Crystals can be found all around the world but most are gathered in the Terran Mines and the Cobalt Mines in the North of the Beast-men Continent.

Origin & Source

Electrum Crystals are the Result of Void energy seaping throuth the interdimentional mesh sperating this world from the Void

Life & Expiration

Electrum dose not expire but can Deteriorate if used to excessively, as well as recharged with Void craft.

History & Usage

History

For most of the Early World Electrum was just some strange Dust that can be found in Deep Caves, but after the Magical Reinvention the Interest for Electrum grew rapidly since it became one of the most important components in many magical rituals

Discovery

Electrum was formaly discoverd by Valuntus the first Grand master of elemental Magic in the first year after the magical Reinvention

Everyday use

Electrum is part of many peoples daily life and since electrum is the core component of almost all modern lights, books or signs that are used by all three kingdoms.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Electrum has become the go to substance to be used for entertainment or Art since it's form and properties can be easily altered.

Industrial Use

Electrum is part of the Terran Industry and defines many inventions based on the magical principals.
Electrum is also used in special made weapons and tool which all have specialized magical abilities due to there Electrum Core.

Refinement

Electrum can be combined with Steel to create Thaumium which is the most durable and adaptable metal found to date, thaumiun is very hard to create since larger more rare electrum Crystals are needed to create it.

Byproducts & Sideproducts

One By Product when working with Electrum is the Electrum Dust which can't really be used for manufactured goods but still has all the properties of the Electrum crystals and as such is the most popular Ritual component and Entertainment Product to date.

Hazards

Electrum is what is called a jealous Material, if one Electrum Crystal is forced to work in conjunction with another both crystals will try to out do each other and create what is commonly known as an Elemental Chaotic Reaction (ECR) the effects of which could be described as a storm of two or more elements that grows in intensity until the crystals break under the Elemental Strains as such Elemental Dust is very unstable but can't create any sort of real damage in small amounts. The strength of these ECR events are described as such:

  • Frequency in occurrence in one min FO = Average Crystal Distance M * Crystal Amount / Previous ECR 
  • Max ECR = Theoretical Intensity TI * Initial magical Force Spell Level
