Horses - Konik

Overview

The Konik is a breed of horse generated by attempts of some to get back to the original Tarpan bloodline in those lines that have failed or faltered over time. With each breeding of the Tarpan to another breed of horse, the bloodline falters more and more, resulting in a loss of overall quality. However, if a Tarpan is again added into the blood line - the closest to a Pure Tarpan that can be generated is the Konik. The Konik, like the Tarpan will then again degenerate if it is cross bred with other horse breeds.
