Purpose / Function

Originally, the Millhouse's purpose seems to have been to accommodate a family and their livelihood until most likely the wars involving the Golden King where most of the Great Glen region was destroyed.
For an unknown time, the ruins were taken over by nature, crumbling away in the face of history. This was until the Dethroned Hag came across the recoverable walls and decided to call it her new home.
Now, the purpose of the Millhouse is a home and makeshift Throne for Polly Knucklebones, where she brews potions and schemes with the Children of the Glen cult. The actual mill itself has a new purpose for the Old Hag; it is used as a torture device where Polly will tie abducted children's fingers to the wheel, allowing the motion of the river to rip them out of their sockets.

Alterations

Since the Old Hag took residence, while the Millhouse still appears in ruins, it is still a lot more habitable than previously. The rotten door has been replaced with a more sturdy wood, interlaced with thick thorns.
One major addition to the land is a pit which has been dug out nearby. Here, the Old Hag keeps captive wanderers she wants alive for various purposes, whether to manipulate or torture later. Surrounding the Millhouse hidden in patches of grass are beartraps designed for trapping trespassers.
