Conquest with Stability
A guide for any ruler to follow
Great Thief Arrested
In 14th October, the Royal Enforcement announced the wanted for the thief with very high reward, who managed to steal royal estates which believed to belong to our recently passed Valus. The case must be done as quick as possible, the chief said, since it turned out the order came from his successor, Rondius V, himself.
Today, the wanted man had been arrested while aboarding at Port Dirwen. With such critical crime against our savior he was sentenced to death without parole, and the execution is going to take place in a couple days. Everyone had no idea why they tried so hard to take it back. The only evidents came from witnesses during the arresting scene. Although it was barely seen, they were sure that it neither gold nor any shiny stuff. It seem to be a single book.
Purpose
Conquest with Stability compose series of aspect about military strategies and tactics in order to achieve successful warfare while trying to stablize new territories to reduce local unrest such as treating casualties, centralization and valonization, to made sure they wouldn't affect any long-term campaign - all in one book.
Document Structure
Clauses
The book is divided into several chapters. It opens with the preface by Valus himself for his heir and future generation. The rest are the aspect of military strategies and tactics.
References
Throughout his wartime against the empire, King Valus always kept his experience wherever his army went onto personal journals; Since he barely went outside Valone, Valus loved to do so. He wrote about the battlefield's surrounding, personal thought/opinions on recent combat, people he captured, etc. it led to the similar questions: How to properly calm people down when we just completedly destroyed their town? How to handle those prisoners of war with care? What's the better way to handle non-Valonian without resist? After all these questions, an idea erupted.
After going back after his triumph, Valus, with the help of his royal advisers of Senate, decided to analyse, revise, all his record along with battle reports, combined into the ultimate military guide. With great power come great opportunity, he needed to make sure that the next generations would follow to achieve his dream goal: To take over the entire Estisia.
Publication Status
The book was edited for distributing to Catasturions for studying. Its contents are limited compared to the original one by Valus himself, but enough to cover the important guidelines; It even has a title on a cover. Copies can be found at the Rondius Fort, the Institute of Knowledge, and the Great Library of Kriton.
Speaking of the original book, it is the most valuable heirloom that Valus cared the most. He forbidden everyone for reading this except the future emperors and his trustworthy friends. In fact, Valus decided to hide it away inside the palace, but not hard to be picked up for his children. It was only his death that claimed its privacy, and luckily no one could recognized what this unlabeled book was about.
Historical Details
History
Valus added more warfare information after the impressive result of the Anriv-Vinor War, which new Gunner Legion was fully operated, and that's enough for him to stop writing this book in 8 VE.
Legacy
Are you sure about this, dad? The goal is too big to be true!
If we do it slow and stable, my son - Slow and stable. Don't we all want the land of peace?
The Simplified Edition
As it contains useful military and politic information from an experienced general, Valus won't let others to know this guide. He later changed his mind in the later years and so discussed with his advisors the plan to print Conquest with Stability for all Catasturions in the seat; The new edition was smaller but had some chapters cut or rewritten.
The copies had been distributed in the early 25 VE, shortly before his death. However, the original book was once almost be stolen by the great thief incident. He would've been shocked if the enemy turned pages to learn its unrestricted information - or the secret he hidden away from anyone else?
One of the chapters in Conquest with Stability that was cut from the copy is called "The Secret of the Stone", and it was the key factor of their mighty army. It describes everything about the Catastropium, a powerful explosive crystal, and where it came from which the whole empire depends on:
Underneath the grand palace , many pure, growable cluster of Catastropiums are being planted in a massive scale for useful crafting materials using in all related technologies such as purple powder and weapons . The farm is barely or never heard to the outside as if it doesn't exist despite the fact that tonnes of them has been produced here every years since its discovery.
Furthermore, any crystal produced here has to be sterilized before any usage, in case somebody might accidentally or not, has learnt its secret and try duplicating it. It was written as well as planting technique, only for the emperor to acknowledge in order to manage such forbidden plantation.
Forgive me, but I found this very difficult to follow because the grammar has enough mistakes in it to obscure the meaning. I believe in never correcting someone unless you don't understand what they meant, but I'm afraid that's where I am with this. Would you like some editorial help? I'd be glad to assist if I can. That said, what I am gathering is that this book is a blend of Machiavelli's "The Prince," Sun Tzu's "Art of War," and "The Anarchist's Cookbook" -- do I have that right? If so, the idea is awesome!
Thanks for the comment! My English is not good, so I am very glad for you to edit as you wish! I can accept it :) And yes you are right about my reference! Even though I use the second one only, others are related as well.
