Silphium

This flowering plant has been lost from the Krin cuisine for so long it's like an ideal ingredient of gods. As an ideal seasoning, it's also be used in a medicine, perfume, and even aphrodisiac. It was sought in high price that if equivalent to Valonian, it might be around 10 Sarts per kilogram.

According to old family recipes collected by a famous historian, once cultivated, bulbs would be left for the next harvests to grow, or along with its stalk, used in stews. Fruits and flowers would be dried for several sunlight, which then can be grounded, boiled, or topping on dishes. It's an ideal seasoning, and by combining grounded peppers and it becomes the ultimate experience, as if being closer to god.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

The plant since being domesticated by the ancients, back to the time of Gion, the people of the Lake Gios. The recipes had been developed within the community. It had eventually been brought out of the lake through migration.

As the Empire of Kritus thrived, the popularity of these delicious plants reached its peak, resulting in an overwhelmingly demands. Large fields of this had spreaded across the Durn and Gioson rivers, creating lots of fortune upon the families. And when the great drought wiped it all sometime five hundreds years ago, the natural species was next to be run out. Nobody in the region ever found the similar taste ever since.

There is an alternative of course, with mix of salt and spice, but give unbalanced flavour and savory compared to the original species. Several generations later try to recover the taste through researching books and such but no chance to find the one that rich as the original one - still, the taste goes on.
