After the coronation, the emperor can put anytime they wanted or store it away - the crown is theirs. Usually, it is stored in the personal vault inside the grand palace. Only selected family members can access to it.
In theory, the emperor can wear it on whatever duties they attended, but it is so rare. Most of the time the crown has been wore in a public are during sport events and some visitting.
The Great Transition
Considered the oldest accessory of the emperor outfit is somehow not too far from reality. The crown and the ring was made around the same time but the former last more. The crown even survived the fall of Valone in 30 BVE when the ring was unfortunately taken away from his finger of a dying king Ike III, the last king of Valonia and the father of Valus, who revenged them.
The ring was remoulded, but the crown survive safely in the vault. Valus wore the crown in 1 VE at the rivalty city, Knirk. Since then, the crown continue its duties as the symbol of Valonian's power and wonderful.
