Prince Mychal Skallange

Prince Mychal was well known for his martial prowess, long considered Styressia's greatest warrior.

BACKSTORY

Mychal was born to the Skallange family; the rulers of the Kingdom of Skallange; one of the five Great Kingdoms of Styressia. As the eldest son of his father and mother, he was the crown prince, and was destined to rule the kingdom one day. But in 1598 at the age of 16, his father died during Skallange - Alturia War, and before he could be crowned, Alturia annexed the kingdom. Mychal harbored great shame as his family refused to allow him the chance to fight. While he was allowed to keep his Prince title and guaranteed the right to rule Eskronsa under the authority of the King of Styressia, Prince Mychal choose the life of a soldier. He set off to join the King of Styressia's army leaving Eskrosna and Skallange to be ruled by his younger brothers.
His service to Styressia was ferocious and he ran off to confront every threat to it. He exemplified himself in King Addo I's multiple campaigns putting down Welkania rebellions in the north. He completed many heroic endeavors during the Brute Orcish raids in 1615 and1619 AC. When Styressia was at peace, he took legions of soldiers and adventurers into the Agrios Agnosto to pacify regions. By the time Addo II took the throne in 1629 AC, Mychal had established himself as Protector of the Realm. He and his Sonne Brigade quickly subdued any and all wavering's towards the new king's coronation. Addo II relied on Prince Mychal heavily on questions of ruling. Prince Mychal became the king's chief confident and grew close to the queen as well. As a result, he was asked to be Princess Rosalina Cossette Alturia's godfather and was an important figure in her early childhood.
Like many aging warriors, Mychal began to lose a step to the sands of time. That is where his partnership with Willhem Schrunder began. Willhem; a Welkania tinkerer and arcane scholar promised the old warrior he could use his skills to help maintain his edge. Willhelm created a suit of armor that was magically bonded to three simulacrums created in the Princes's image. Not only did the suit's magical essence fill in the gaps of Mychals declining robustness, but he could simultaneously keep his keen senses razor sharp by sparring and training with the greatest warrior in Terrania... himself.
At the end of the Obscurring of the Terra Firma Prince Mychal was struck down by Khristos Farstriker. Many assumed he had died, but while his wounds were significant, he would survive. He spent his final years bedridden in the Skallange Family Castle in Eskronsa. Both Khristos and Rosalina visited him as often as they could.
When asked why he fought so hard to become Styressia's Greatest Protector, when they took everything from him, he responded as such; "The loss of my families Kingdom was out of my control, so I endeavored to rule a kingdom I could control ... the battlefield."
