Sky Breakers

The Sky Breakers are less of a church and more of a moniker given to the followers of the Stormlord.
This individualistic religion was in drastic contrast to The Eight-Pointed Star and resulted in the Skybreakers being declared heresy. It was, however, almost impossible to identify members.
Most port cities and mountain towns have at least a small following, while Ervia has a strong, but “illegal” presence. Since its founding the Skybreakers have expanded away from the Empire, as the doctrine found better purchase in the Andals and with the Nomani.
The few times that opposing churches have descended upon the Sky Breakers, they find they are attempting to fight a storm.

Structure

When the Skybreakers gather, it is for competition, feasting or common cause.
Highly spiritual members, known as Tempest Lords, have attained a level of personal strength unparalleled by others. They are intelligent, strong, fast, faithful, peaceful or any other form of strength the individual desires. The Lords are greatly revered for their accomplishment.
A Fury is a guide for those below them. They are noted by the prestigious Double Lightning Bolt Tattoo often displayed on the chest or sometimes the face. A Stormling is any follower of significant devotion to the Stormlord, while an Initiate is typically someone who has only started their journey. Stormlings are noted by the band that spirals around the arm as a commitment to their journey.

Divine Origins

It is unknown where or when the Stormlord and his faithful first appeared. The best historians can do is post-fall.

Tenets of Faith

Skybreakers maintain the belief that the Stormlord, while a God, should only be “worshipped” as the powerful being he is; not because he’s superior, or wise, or strong. They also express some form of negation towards life or towards fundamental concepts such as knowledge, existence, and the meaning of life.
Skybreakers eschew unnecessary material possessions and believes in strength above all else.
Life is often referred to as The Storm, as it is ever-changing, exhilarating, and unforgiving. The Stormlord can be called on for guidance, but the Peak teaches that he is a cruel teacher. The Storm, however, is the greatest of teachers.   STRENGTH - Strength comes in many forms - intellectual, spiritual, physical, emotional, professional - and growing in strength is a personal, isolated journey, aided only by those we choose and tempered by those who oppose us. CHARITY - Possessions are a sign of weakness. There is no reason to claim dominion over that which was never yours. NIHILISM- Simply put, life has no meaning, so it is best to become as strong as you can with the time we have, all the better to survive the Storm.

Worship

Skybreakers honor the Stormlord by bettering themselves. He requires no prayers or devotion, though the devotion to improvement and the Stormlord as inspiration is appreciated.

Granted Divine Powers

The clergy of the Tempest Peak, unsurprisingly, may take the Tempest domain.
