The Artist

When the Elves left the Empire, they were attacked by the wilds of Terusha. As all who are desperate, they turned to their gods, but no help came. Some said it was because the Eight were trying to test them, others abandoned the Eight altogether.
As the Elves created a new home for themselves, they were devastated by sickness and predators, they refused to return to the Empire. With their leaders dead, a humble artist, whose name has been lost to time, rose to lead them. There is an argument over whether he was a dancer, a painter or a musician, even whether he was a high elf or a wild elf. But he became a hero of his people, venturing between the nations, uniting and inspiring them. His most notable accomplishment was that he established relations with the fey and the dragons. When the Rot attacked in the Spring Wood, it was he who saved them.
He has a slightly depiction look based on whether a high elf or a wood elf is describing him. He is always depicted as a beautiful, androgynous elf with blonde hair.

While the shared the elven trait of pride that could border arrogance, this never got the better of him. He was a god with an endless willingness to learn from others and acted on it, even including mortals in his sources of discovering new information, methods, and philosophies. The Artist desires to protect and preserve the elven race. The Artist advises his faithful to guard against stagnation as well, continually seeking out new experiences. They seek to bring out beauty through art, craft, and magic.

Divine Domains

The Artist is the God of Elves, Art, and War.

Tenets of Faith

It is difficult to separate where the Artist's church ends and the Elven Nations begin. Elves are encouraged to express themselves in any way that does not harm each other. Many choose architechture or music or craftsmanship or, the ultimate expression, magic.
Though elves are long-lived, it is only through creativity can one become truly immortal.
Elves are forbidden to wage war upon each other and and may never wantonly destroy nature.
