The Light
The Light is a difficult religion. Those within the Light view it as the greatest of saviors and curing them from their lives of vice and sin. However, those against them view the Light as a miserable, hateful group of heretics who should be exiled at best and exterminated at worst.
The Light worships the Brightlord who some say, is a brother and opposite of the Great Flame. The Light claims it is a different aspect of the same entity.

Structure
The only way to advance among The Light is for the Brightlord to pronounce it. This is interpreted by the higher members of the church. Membership is noted by various burns into the shoulder.
Priests and Warmasters commonly wear The Light’s symbol on their clothing, as additional burns or ritual scarification.
Those of higher rank are considered morally, intellectually, and spiritually superior to those below them, with the Purity above all.

Divine Origins
The Light is an offshoot of the Order of Bright Flame. When the Light was formed it led to a civil war within the Evergreen. The Light dominated the Firemont for 32 years, until it was overthrown by members of Sun Soul Brotherhood and returned to The Order.
In the aftermath, the Wild Elves exiled The Light. The Light found home in Tev and with some of the barbarian tribes. However, the nature of The Light keeps their numbers relatively small.

The Light is an extremely militant, religious order that believes they, and only they, must convert the world through pain and purging. This belief has led many to believe that since their dogmas are so different, the Brightlord and the Great Flame cannot be the same entity.

Devotion and obedience are key above all else: unquestioning, blind obedience. This ensures that the members are pure and worthy of His love.

The Light is a puritanical organization. Intoxicants, gambling, laziness, foul language, and charity are forbidden and are harshly punished.
Sex, on the other hand, is varied. All members above the rank of Deacon have sexual rights to those below them, and single women are expected to be available to all men. A married woman is expected to be devoted, and loyal to her husband. The man is not expected to be so devoted.
