Akath-tarmid Mountains

Known as the "Winter's Edge Mountains" in Dwarven. After these lands were settled by men, many dwarves would follow them, wanting to find a place for themselves. They would find this mountain range ideal for their fortresses, finally finding a home. For millennia, they would rule over these lands, helping the people of ancient Vendel in an alliance between man and dwarf. It wasn't until the coming of the Icons that these fortresses fell, taken over by monsters. Centuries later, they weren't retaken and monsters that resided there banded together founding Gorim Ashtol, a mighty orc kingdom. The orcs would see Venland as their home, not to be disturbed, so they built many ships and sought out war and booty in the sea and other lands, bringing treasure and slaves back to the mountains.
