Gorim Ashtol

Gorim Ashtol is an old orc kingdom, dating to the Fourth Age, The Calamity. They are mostly populated by orcs, goblinoids, trolls, and similar creatures, led by orc clans under one warchief. They believe Venland to be their home, so they decided no to bring the war to its shores, preferring sea battles or raiding other coasts, thus bringing treasure and slaves back to their mountain homes.

History

The Akath-tarmid Mountains were once home for dwarves that left the Old World with the humans. These fortresses stood for millennia until the Fourth Age, The Calamity dawned and they were slaughtered by armies of monsters. These places weren't retaken by the dwarves, even centuries later, and the monsters united under orc rule. The monsters keep to themselves and only sometimes small groups break off to attack the civilized lands. The orc warchief sees this as a disgrace, so they have a working relationship with nearby countries to hunt down these monsters as pillaging Venland is like burning your own home (or shitting in your own bed as the orcs like to describe it). The dwarves of the Old World would send many expeditions to these mountains, trying to retake these lands but it might take more than a couple of centuries.
