Brandsfjord

Brandsfjord is the name of an ancient Frost Giant fortress in the Thorfinheim Mountains. From there the Frost Giants were able to reclaim the mountains for themselves and build many ice-strongholds, pushing back the warrior-clans. Their goal is unknown, while the giants might say they seek to be left alone, the warrior-clans tell the tales that the Frost Giants are back to retake what was once theirs.

History

Long ago, the Niffleheim region was once the kingdom of Frost Giants. They ruled for millennia until the first settlers set foot onto their land. Over many centuries, they would fight the small creatures, pushed back into the mountains. The warrior-clans were able to gain a foothold in the Thorfinheim Mountains, making the Frost Giants settle only in those cold parts that other races couldn't survive for long. This conflict would never cease as many of the Warrior-clans of Venland would seek glory fighting a Frost Giant. After the Fourth Age, The Calamity, when the warrior-clans spent all their men fighting wars, the Frost Giants reclaimed the mountains for themselves. The conflict continues long into the Fifth Age, Current Age but there are talks that it might "warm-up" over time as the warrior-clans seek less combat with the giants than before.
