Furious Widow is the personification of all storms on the seas of
Tethys. Many sailors attest to seeing an angry, grieving woman in the clouds when a storm hits. Worshippers and clerics can be mainly found on land as they take care of returning seamen, reminding them about the dangers of the seas, helping them prepare for another journey. Those that come onto the ships are advisors to the captain and quartermaster, sometimes even becoming the latter.
History
This story was repeated many times during the
Second Age, Godswar, when anybody when out to the seas. The gruesome storms would take them and as most of the warriors would be men, many married, their widows would grieve. There is a tale of one such woman, who burned a returning ship as the sailors and captain failed to respect the storm and allowed her husband to fall into the waters. This legend was passed on many times and to this day, the storms sometimes can be seen as having a face a furious woman, angry that you didn't listen and sailed straight into a storm.
