Mordland

Once upon a time, there lived a powerful devil that turned the whole land into ice. Mordland wasn't hospitable for mortals for centuries until a group of Aarakocra was able to kill the devil and take his treasure. With an orb capable of creating snowstorms, they blocked access to their land for many centuries and ruled for themselves. It wasn't until the coming of the Icons, that these lands were opened once more. The Aarakocra and other creatures changed, their nation was in crumbles but was able to survive the long centuries until another disaster hit at the end of the Fourth Age, The Calamity. Many sought shelter elsewhere, like the humans that lived in this region, forming the Sarmatia nation. The Aarakocra stayed and through their dedication, hardships and courage were able to recover. Mordavia was born once more but it lost the magic of snowstorms, at least the controlled ones. Sometimes the snowstorms come and block access to their land for days or months but subside later, allowing much-needed trade to the country.
