Mordavia
Ever saw an owl humanoid riding a bear? No? Then welcome do Mordavia. This nation resides in the Mordland region, north of the Limul-torish Mountains. Long ago, in the Third Age, Kingdoms, a powerful devil ruled these lands and with the powers at his disposal made impenetrable snowstorms, until the Northern Aarakocra came and defeated him. The powers weren't his, so they took them for themselves as well as the lands. For many centuries, barely any trade and diplomacy were made with the Aarakocra, many humans did emigrate there but couldn't leave. Even during the Fourth Age, The Calamity, the everwinter was able to make a strong enough barrier to ward off the Iconian Empire thus saving thousands of lives. However, when the world shattered at the end of the age, so did the powers they had to block passage. Their nation crumbled and the last Txar (king of sorts) died, encased in ice, trying to stop the powers at bay. Many humans emigrated south, seeking better lands since the Post-Calamity Era of the Fifth Age, Current Age wasn't welcoming to any, but the Aarakocra stayed and over the generations, they were able to revive their nation. They couldn't control the power of snowstorms anymore and these powerful barriers come and go, allowing passage for trade and such for some time, before it returns again. The kingdom is still ruled by a Txar and he grants many freedoms to his people as they built tall cities. The Aarakocra here worship an Aspect of the Divine King called the Tsar.
