  Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Marin, the God of the Ocean, born from the first drops of water that formed on the world. His form is as fluid and mutable as the seas themselves; he is often depicted as a towering figure made of water, with hair like seaweed.
Marin's influence extends across all bodies of water, from the smallest stream to the deepest ocean trench. He governs the tides, controls the weather at sea, and is responsible for the mysteries that lie beneath the waves. Mariners and coastal dwellers hold him in high esteem, offering sacrifices to appease him before setting out on long voyages.
Marin is a deity of duality—capable of immense calm and generosity, yet equally prone to sudden, violent tempests. He is deeply connected to the cycle of life, as the ocean gives birth to countless forms of life, yet also swallows them without warning. While Samis - God of Storm and Skies storms can stir the ocean into a frenzy, they also replenish the seas and sustain life within them. The two gods share a mutual respect.
Marin also maintains a close, albeit complex, relationship with Limtar, Goddess of Death and Decay. The ocean, with its depths and mysteries, is often seen as a gateway to the afterlife, and many who perish at sea are believed to be claimed by Limtar.
Marin is worshipped primarily by those who live by or depend on the sea, such as sailors, fishermen, and coastal communities. His temples are often located near the shore, where the sound of waves can be heard. Offerings to Marin typically include fish, pearls, and other treasures from the sea, thrown into the water as a sign of respect.
One of the most significant festivals dedicated to Marin is the Tide of Blessings, held during the full moon when the tides are at their highest. During this time, followers gather at the shore to offer thanks for the ocean’s bounty and to ask for safe passage across the waters.
Marin’s teachings focus on the acceptance of life’s unpredictability, his followers are encouraged to be resourceful and resilient.
