Tenebria "Bria" Knox

Profile

Tenebria Knox is an investigator who works alongside Lupin. Her affiliations are currently unknown, but she appears to know some of the goings on of the ARA given some of her comments to Lupin and the party the first time they met. Bria is shrouded in an air of mystery, or at least she would be, if she didn't seem to like giving away hints about what she's up to. She tends to be rather vague about what she knows, and likes to talk in riddles, making her conversational partners put the pieces together on their own without ever confirming if their deductions are correct.

Bria has a strong nose, and can smell different kinds of magical auras with immense precision, which helps her determine both the source and relative location of magical energies. She also possesses the innate ability of true sight, which she uses to great effect in her line of work. Bria is kind and has a strong sense of justice, though her methods are often unconventional, and she's not afraid to use her lightning magic on anyone who stands in the way of that justice. There are a multitude of legends about a tabaxi with blue lightning magic that are assumed to be about Tenebria by those who know her, but she has never said definitively if the rumors are true, often citing the inconsistency of the names and fur colors given in each account.

Physical Description

Tenebria is a tall, slender tabaxi with light grey fur, electric blue eyes, and a long, thin tail. She dresses in a way that is overly elegant for what one might deem as practical for her line of work, but several people have surmised that her outward appearance may be an illusion, and that underneath all the frills and flowing cloth of her seemingly-endless illusory wardrobe is a much more practical set of light, leather armor. Bria makes every attempt to appear as mysterious as possible, and seems to get genuine enjoyment from confusing those around her, a sly smile appearing on her face without fail every time her conversational adversaries are at a loss for words. An assortment of small, shimmering rings and bracelets adorn both of her hands and arms, the most ornate of which contains a sizeable blue gemstone on her left wrist that crackles with electricity. The majority of Tenebria's left arm is covered in blue streaks, forming a striking lightning bolt that traces the veins on the back of her hand and accentuates the svelte muscle tone of her upper arm.

Relationships

The Party

Bria holds the party in high regard since they kept Lupin safe on the night of a full moon. She sees that Lupin is starting to open up little by little thanks to his connections with the party, and sees a glimmer of his former self starting to shine back through his lone wolf façade. Bria thinks the party is fun to tease, and likes to make it clear that she knows more about them than they know about her.

Bria apparently knows something about Umbra that even he doesn't know, but hasn't revealed her hand yet as to what exactly that is.

Lupin Raoul

Bria and Lupin have been working together for some number of years. She often teases him, calling him nicknames like "wolf boy" or "lone wolf", much to his chagrin and attempts to keep their correspondence professional. Despite this, it's obvious that Bria has a soft spot for Lupin, and wishes he wasn't so dead set on working alone and pushing people away. According to Bria, Lupin hasn't always been this way, and mentioned that his attitude changed a few years ago after some kind of incident.
