Lupin Raoul

Profile

Lupin is an investigator who specializes in missing persons cases. His affiliations are currently unknown, but he appears to know some of the secrets of the ARA due to his connection with Venandi. At some point, Lupin became afflicted with the curse of lycanthropy, and has since made it a core part of his identity by leaning into the "lone wolf" bit and taking it as literally as possible. It's entirely possible that "Lupin" is not actually his real name, and is a codename he gave himself.

Lupin says he prefers to work alone, but his willingness to help and receive help from others would quickly betray his true feelings. He is a kind and considerate individual who will do what he can to help find those he has been tasked with tracking down, and can be quick to blame himself should he arrive too late to save them. He has a strong resolve to better himself and his abilities every day by learning from his mistakes, to make sure the cost of making them wasn't in vain.

Physical Description

Lupin stands at roughly 6 feet tall, with a relatively slender frame despite his strong shoulders. His eyes are a dark amber, and his slightly disheveled hair is a deep chestnut brown with a few gray streaks, which matches his beard. Lupin is usually seen wearing loose-fitting attire that somehow manages to give off a professional air despite the informality with which it is draped over his figure. His kind eyes betray any attempt to hide the long nights spent working when the moon is at its highest, a time when Lupin finds himself to be at his most restless.

Relationships

The Party

Lupin met the party at Arthur Crolly's manor, where he was investigating a series of missing person cases that appeared to be related to Arthur and his affiliates. He recognized that they were part of the ARA somehow, presumably because of some subtle signal that labeled them as part of Venandi's team to those who are in the know. Lupin took a particular liking to Sage and her investigative spirit, even going so far as to throw himself onto Arthur to protect Sage and the rest of the party, despite the man wearing an exorbitant amount of silver out of paranoia. The party currently has Lupin's contact information through a business card he gave to Sage upon his departure.

Since the masquerade, the party (especially Sage) has had more contact with Lupin, assisted him on more investigations, and even turned him into a target of worship for a band of kuo-toa. Lupin is not pleased about his recent deification but is optimistic that it will end almost as quickly as it started.

Venandi Silve

Lupin and Venandi are apparently old friends, by Lupin's admission. Venandi so far has not expanded upon their affiliation and seems reluctant to state much more beyond the fact that they know each other and that Lupin is a trustworthy ally.

Tenebria "Bria" Knox

Tenebria is a coworker of Lupin's, and they've known each other for some years. Despite his attempts to remain strictly professional at all times, Bria insists on speaking informally with Lupin whenever possible. Her wanton teasing aside, however, it's clear that Tenebria really cares about Lupin and his wellbeing.
