Noble Houses of Aedeyne

The Kingdom of Aedeyne is made up of noble houses of various ranks. A house is little more than a family of nobles, owning a seat of power and ruling over fiefs. Some houses are sworn to larger more powerful houses.
The house to which the king of queen belongs is called the "Royal House". This house rules over all other houses of Aedeyne. Great Houses are powerful houses to which other houses (called "Sworn Houses" or "Banner Houses" have sworn allegiance. This causes great houses to govern large regions divided amongst their banner houses.
Each house ruled over their own ancestral seat of power and subsequent fiefs.
