Kingdom of Aedeyne
As the sun slowly sets over the rolling hills, carrying seemingly endless vinyards on their backs, I sigh. My thoughts drift off towards tomorrow. I truly hope the Earl is pleased with the hundred militiamen I managed to muster, a good number I think, more than ever. I guess this is the result of careful management, funding the summer festivities in many of the towns surrounding the castle resulted in eager men, happy to serve their lord. I feel a hand grasping at my silver embroided tunic. My son, Aethelwine, heir to the throne of my Barony. A lad of only three years old. I pick him up and together we gaze over the courtyard, the walls and the lands beyond. "When I die, my boy, this will all be yours. They will call you my lord, and you will be baron of the entire castle." My worrying thoughts of battle ebb away. It's good to be Baron.
Gem of Therion, ever shining, ever vigilant.
