The Faewylde
The Faewylde, home to the Fae.
The Faewylde is a planar realm where raw nature and unbridled magick intersect. The Faewylde is wild and fickle in nature, a mirror plane of Artha, the material plane.
Size and Time
The Faewylde is a mirror plane of Artha. This means the Faewylde is similar in size compared to Artha. While time passes normally in most places, there are pockets present where time flows much slower or faster.Denizens
The Faewylde is home to the legendary Fae (Fey) creatures. The Fae are mysterious creatures as diverse as humans. The Fae are often fickle and chaotic in nature, attracted to specific natural phenomenon of locations. Some Fae are good-natured and helpful (if somewhat mischievous) in nature. Others are deeply evil and revel in mistery and pain.Access and Travel
Planar travellers may access the Faewylde through portals. Portals from Artha to the Faewylde are one of the most common form of portal (although still rare). Fae creatures wandering Artha often keep close to these portals. Portals to the Faewylde are often well concealed or blend naturally into the surroundings. Traversing the Faewylde is similar to travelling Artha, although the Faewylde is home to much more extreme natural locations, making travel often perilous.Bordering Planes
The Faewylde is said to border Artha and her other mirror planes; The Aether and The Slumbermyst and melds seamlessly into these planes. The Faewylde also borders the prime elemental plains of; Infyrnum, Oceanum, Tempestrum and Terrestrum.Demiplanes
Geography
The Faewylde is rugged and diverse, with nature and magick as a common theme. Mountains ranges of immense scope, seemingly endless forests, oceans unexlored, all of these sights are present in multitude. Entire regions locked in a single season, plains where no sun ever shines and night rules, jungles where the rain never ceases and dozens of rainbows can be seen from the canopy.
The Faewylde terrain is sometimes influenced by the border to other planes. The border to Terrestrum might consist of massive mountains and sprawling caves for example.
