Sylvanni
The Sylvanni are the forest-folk who fled the fall of the Titans and Ehlovanni to return to their older ways. The Sylvanni reside in elven fastnesses in the wilderness and clutch to the dwindling remnants of their Ehlovanni magics. As the ages have passed, the Sylvanni have largely maintained an aloof relationship with the other Named Peoples and, in so doing, retained a fey aspect and air of mystery. The Sylvanni societies range from woodland courts to mountain tribes, formal to nearly tribal, pacifists to warmongers with attitudes from superior to shy. As each Sylvanni community stayed apart from its brethren it took on the aspects required for survival.
In Western Aneloria, the various Sylvanni societies still retain their uniqueness but, after the events of the The Taking, many more have come to accept that simply hiding away and living apart is no longer a viable path for their People. And so more and more Sylvanni societies have opened relations with their non-elven neighbors and, in some places, even forged agreements and bonds. This contact and the renewed sense of foreboding that shivers through the trees and is echoed in their meditations has led to more sightings of Sylvanni out and about in the realms of Man and the other Named.
Major organizations
The only known Sylvani political organization within the APPROACH is the woodland kingdom of Caemaranth. It lies in the thick forests that lie to the southwest of Auredain.
