The Vessel of Thios
In the late Grand Age, as the Nighthumans began to ravage all within their grasp, Thios heard the cries of his followers. Choosing a soul of true and noble virtue, he created a vessel for himself to enact his protection over the land. A farmer near the crater of the old city of Din, Brandt, was chosen and ascended to mortal godhood. Wielding the mighty blue flame sword, the Eternal Flame he wrought his righteous vengeance on the nighthumans. Yet it was not without consequence. On the eve of the fall of Polare, Thios stood atop its ramparts seeing out to the throngs of Gnomes and nighthumans, and was consumed by his own holiness. The city soon fell, without its holy protector to guide them to victory. This would directly lead to The Cracking of Hope.
The sword has since been lost
