Elf

Elves are taller humanoids with pointed ears and finely tuned senses. An elf's ears will droop with age and vary in shape and size from elf to elf. Their average lifespan is the longest of all Altus's mortals, being 350 years. Their finely attuned senses allow them to have quicker reactions and better perception. Elves do not have to rest to regain energy as long as other mortals.
Elves are also unique because they possess what is known as a "Mystic Form" or as scholars call it, a "Terra Facies," or earthly visage. It is believed that the elves came from the remnants of Forgotten power that laid dormant in the world, allowing them to take on the Terra Facies. The Mystic Form presents itself when an elf dedicates themselves to the natural world and The Forgotten. It can give them an arrangement of unusual characteristics to their appearance, such as freckles that reflect the starlight, flowers or vines that constantly grow in their hair or on their skin, and much more.
Many cultures have rituals that a young elf can go through in order to connect themselves to nature, however, some elves have been able to assume their Mystic Form without the aid of a ritual, whether that be a great act or declaration that the individual believes is for the betterment of nature. These traits that the Mystic Form grants could change throughout an elf's long life depending on their beliefs and the spheres of nature they associate with.
