Mortals and their realms have forever existed beneath the shadow of Ácolitus which weighs upon all matters. In the earliest epochs of civilization, domains of Ácolitus were common and powerful. The creator bestowed Eshara liberally among the faithful and carved homes for them upon the virgin world. However, the Eshan took umbrage over the involvement of Ácolitus in Qadal and Voryndal. The Alor’eshan were most vigorous in their rejection and diverted their Eshanic sight toward and against the nascent realms of Ácolitus which spawned across Qadal. Aebaster and Atûn wielded their races like hammers, smashing upstart worshippers during the Awakening and Ascension era without mercy or discussion. This drove Ácolitus away to Voryndal, where the ambivalent attitudes of the Ebal’eshan made them receptive neighbors to new and flourishing cults. This was the status quo for many centuries. After Atûn’s death and Corgastor’s ascension between zero and 43, the pathway was reopened for Ácolitus. He returned to Qadal but sought to express his power in more subtle and effective manners than establishing grounded and bordered realms of mortals. The concept of Judges, or individual warriors of incredible skill and wisdom, appeared novel and more promising than anything considered prior.
In the Weeping Era, there were numerous Judges across Qadal, though they were limited in their powers. It wasn’t until the rise of Typhon in the mid-1000s that Ácolitus invested far greater powers onto his Judges, extending their lifespans and capabilities far beyond other mortals. This method presented initial success, and Typhon served his master brilliantly alongside his six companions. However, the infamous rebellion launched in 1380 decimated the prosperity of Othos and compelled Ácolitus to seek new methods of organization. In the future, there were numberous Judges once more, all imbued with long lives and powers, but under the general domain of the Eldest Judge, who for centuries was Xhaldarius.
