In the year 3451, the status quo which maintained the division between Qadal and Voryndal was destroyed. Aebaster and Corgastor, who carried the self-imposed role of celestial borderguards, were slain by Ácolitus and Zarthum in cold murder. Along with them passed Duboartu and Nahu, Toriv, Segriscius, and numerous other Eshan.
The Ebal’eshan received the deaths of Aebaster and Corgastor with mixed emotions. At face, the violent death of a fellow Eshanic life was sorrowful in the extreme. These entities shared their existence for eons and knew one another more intimately than olûndi might over numerous lifetimes. However, Aebaster and Corgastor’s death marked the decisive annihilation of the barriers between Qadal and Voryndal. None among the Alor’eshan save Mesian and the Ezontach remained to enforce Kovunkal.
In this context of intense bloodshed and division, another Ebal’eshanic dynasty formed to capitalize on circumstances. It was formed by Yaalon, Eldest of the Ebal’eshan, and known as the Yaalari. Now, traditionally Yaalon had been aloof from the conflicts and worries of Ácolitus and his children. He is known to select few scholars among olûndi as an explorer of Qadal and Voryndal alike. It is practice for him to gather artifacts, momentos, and knowledge fromone half before sailing to the other, then returning again by ship with exotic yields from the other side. However, the incredible circumstances of the Wandering era demanded action.
An unbearable uncertainty descended upon the world after Zarthum’s demise, which shattered Kovunkal and compelled the mass exodus of Ebal’eshan in Qadal. What unwritten destiny might manifest itself became a matter of intense fear for the Eshan who create and destroy upon their own whims. This existential fear compelled the authorship of the most significant record of Esha’s history available to olûndi and Eshan- the Zolrassal. Nothing of comparable scale or depth has made itself known.
The Great Migration, as the event came to be known, collapsed the histories of Qadal and Voryndal into a single episode. For that reason, its specific tidings will be recounted outside the traditional narrative of Voryndal’s history, but its impacts greatly affected the homeworld. As the numerous Eshan and their races prepared vessels and materials in traveling to Qadal, those who remained perceived opportunity with fiendish grins upon their faces. All that land, its people gone, ripe for occupation.
While great hordes of Voryndal’s population were departed toward Qadal, a lumbering giant of power arose from lethargy to assert itself- Koluthollas, the realm of Ácolitus. Agents of that place departed from its shores with a host of volunteered warriors, gathered over years, at their back. They travelled to the bastions of strength among those who remained and coerced them and lured them with threats of violence and promises of great wealth if they aligned with Koluthollas in this moment.
