Eastern Plaguelands
The Eastern Plaguelands is a region located in the northeastern part of the continent of Eastern Kingdoms. The area was once a thriving region, home to many human settlements and farms. However, during the Third War, the area was overrun by the Scourge, a powerful undead army controlled by the Lich King.
As a result, the Eastern Plaguelands are now a desolate and dangerous wasteland, filled with undead creatures, corrupted wildlife, and tainted landscapes. The air is thick with a miasma of death and decay, and the sky is often dark and foreboding.
Despite its dangers, the Eastern Plaguelands are home to a few surviving human settlements, including the small town of Light's Hope Chapel, which serves as a base of operations for the Argent Dawn, a faction dedicated to fighting against the Scourge. Other notable locations in the area include the Scarlet Enclave, a base of operations for the Scarlet Crusade, a fanatical human organization that seeks to eradicate all undead from the land.
- The Eastern Plaguelands are also home to a number of important landmarks and structures. These include:
- The Plaguewood: A dense forest in the northern part of the region, filled with corrupted wildlife and undead creatures.
- Stratholme: A ruined city that was once a prosperous hub of trade and commerce. It was destroyed by the Scourge and is now infested with undead and other dangers.
- The Marris Stead: A farmstead located in the southern part of the region, which serves as a hub for the Argent Dawn and a safe haven for travelers.
