Mirrorback Mountains

Overview

The Mirrorback Mountains stand as a formidable natural barrier at the northernmost edge of the Northern Continent , spanning from the shores of the White sea  in the west to the northern boundaries of the Azure Sea sea in the east. Towering peaks and rugged cliffs define this majestic range, making it the highest point on the continent and a symbol of both grandeur and mystery.

Geography

Stretching across the width of the continent, the Mirrorback Mountains boast unparalleled natural beauty and diversity. Snow-capped peaks gleam in the sunlight, while deep valleys and winding rivers carve their way through the rugged terrain. Dense forests cloak the lower slopes, teeming with life and hiding ancient secrets waiting to be discovered.

Mirrorback City-States

Nestled within the western expanse of the mountains lies the Mirrorback City States , a confederation of six Dwarven  cities united under a single banner. Renowned for their craftsmanship and resilience, these cities form a bastion of dwarven civilization amidst the harsh mountain landscape. Each city boasts its own unique culture and traditions, yet all are bound together by a common purpose: to defend their homeland and safeguard its riches from would-be invaders.

Gwell, the Frozen Kingdom

To the west of the Mirrorback City-States lies the frozen realm of Gwell , once a prosperous kingdom that met its tragic demise in a great disaster, only to rise again thousands of years later as a land of the undead. Its icy tundras and ruined cities are now haunted by the mindless zombies of its former inhabitants, their hollow eyes staring out into the desolate landscape. 

Sier-Dura, the Lost Monastery

Amidst the untamed wilderness of the western Mirrorback Mountains lies the fabled monastery of Sier-Dura , a place steeped in legend and whispered tales. Believed to be home to ancient knowledge and powerful artifacts, Sier-Dura has long been sought after by treasure hunters and scholars alike. Yet, its exact location remains a closely guarded secret, known only to those who dare to venture into the heart of the mountains in search of enlightenment.
