Overview
The Mirrorback City States, also known as the Mirrorback Alliance or simply the Mirrorbacks, is a nation located in the far north of the
Northern Continent. It can be found in the western end of the
Mirrorback Mountain range It consists of six independent city-states that have united under a common alliance.
Geography
The Mirrorback City States are situated in the
Mirrorback Mountains , an area characterized by its perpetual snow cover, except for the city of
Drakemarsh, which experiences some thawing during the summer. The
Frostfang River flows south from the high mountains, eventually emptying into the White Sea.
Citys
The six cities that make up the Allience are:
A forge city built into the mountains to the north west. Famed for the forging of the
Blackiln Blades.
A port City in the south west. The main trading port of the states.
A remote city in the middle of the
Frostfang expance. Famed for the sutrdness of its people and its cavelry soldures who ride great white wolves.
A city of inventors and alchamists built on the banks of the
Frostfang River.
Called the holy city, it is build into the bace of
Mt Dawn.
A city built into the
Stomos cliff's. Known to be a rough and dangerous place.
People
The population of the Mirrorback City States is predominantly
Dwarves . There is also a significant presence of
Half-Giants , who descend from their mountain tribes, and
Orcs , who migrate from the
Ebon Marshes . Due to the independence of each city-state, local customs can vary widely. However, there is a shared cultural emphasis on family, mining, crafting, and drinking, reflecting the dwarven heritage.
Commerce
The Mirrorbacks have a robust economy driven by mining and crafting. While gold is accepted as currency, the dwarves prefer to trade in precious materials and stones, often offering better deals to those who engage in this form of barter.
Government
The Mirrorback City States are governed by the
Goldern Ring, a council composed of the mayors of the six cities that originally formed the alliance. Each city retains its independence but collaborates on matters of mutual interest through this council.
Religion
The Mirrorback City States allow free worship, with various
Divine Glyphs being popular in different cities. This diversity in religious practice reflects the independent nature of each city-state within the alliance.
