Rowan Skylark*
Chief of the Skylark Clan, Innkeeper
Rowan is the current Chief of Skylark Island. He's also the innkeeper of the island's only Inn.
HIs father Malcolm Skylark was Chief until his death. Then Rowan's mother Grannie Moon took the seat until her son came of age, at which point she stepped aside so he could be Chief.
Rowan is a very different kind of leader from his mother. Where she was very definitely in charge of the clan, Rowan tries to give everyone the security and freedom they need to make the best choices for themselves and for the community.
As a father, Rowan trusts Elizabeth, but there is also a little over-protection.
In the local music scene, Rowan plays the uke and the banjolele.
