Continuity Enforcement Field
A continuity enforcement field prevents the operation of specific frequencies of flicker drive, not only rendering them useless but also causing a destructive reaction in the engines which can obliterate a starship encountering the field. The effect is similar but worse than the consequences of encountering a natural geometrical anomaly.
Continuity enforcement fields were discovered by humanity only in the years after the Bubble burst but they were certainly known to other races earlier, most notably the Cata-Zin and the Counter Xarctic Traders as well as members of the Society Of Contemporary Races.
Continuity enforcement fields have no effect on the superimplicit drive and therefore do not restrict the operations of Generative Starships.
