Allah

Allah is one of the chief gods of the universe, one of the three sons of Tolkien and the twin brother of Colin. He is easily the most widely worshipped god in the universe, with his followers (known as Muslims) being present in most time periods somewhere or another, often in large numbers.

Personal History

Early Life

Allah was created by Tolkien alongside his twin Colin near the dawn of time. Their purpose was to provide aid to their father in the devising of a sequel to Lord of the Rings, however they were not granted a piece of the Secret Fire unlike their brother Tom Bombadil out of Tolkien's fear that they would go rogue as Bombadil had. As such, they were only able to create rip-offs of The Lord of the Rings, a fact which bothered them both.   Nevertheless, they wanted to make their father proud of them and determined that they would make an effort to create something of their own. Thus, the universe we live in was brought into being. While they created many galaxies and stars, their main focus at first was on a single planet which they called Middle-Earth, because it was meant as a reproduction of Tolkien's work, which they hoped would impress their father. They spent around 10 thousand years on this planet guiding it towards the events of the book. They were largely successful in this, however, numerous inconsistencies would creep into the planet that would cause it to diverge somewhat from the books themselves.   Eventually, two time-traveling adventurers named Isengriff and Lindonrow would find their way to Middle-Earth. Their presence caused a great deal of disruption, causing Allah to favor killing them immediately to get things back on track. Colin, however, was much more curious about the travelers and wanted to see what they would do. Allah initially went along with this, but the disagreement would slowly begin to widen a rift between the two brothers, a rift which would finally break them apart when Isengriff and Lindonrow (as the result of the machinations of Tom Bombadil ) had an ill-fated Music Contest at Ost Guruth causing a great deal of destruction in the process. After the Music Contest, Allah demanded that Isengriff and Lindonrow be killed, but Colin still wanted to see what they would do. This led to a fight between the two of them that destroyed the entirety of Middle-Earth. After this, they swore undying hatred of one another and went their separate ways.   Allah would travel the cosmos billions of years after this trying to make a new planet of his own, but he met with repeated failures as each new creation failed to live up to his standards. On the verge of giving up entirely, he came to a small planet which he named 'Earth' and decided that it would be his final attempt.

On Earth

When Allah first came to Earth, he found life already there in the form of a species of giant leech creatures which he observed for a bit before obliterating them from existence (although a few small ones would survive and go on to father the leeches that we all know) and replace them with the dinosaurs. He created a great many different dinosaurs, occasionally destroying one species and creating a new one. He viewed this mostly as a preliminary experiment, hoping to find a species that was good enough to make into the dominant race on the planet.   After about 200 million years of this, he finally began growing tired of dinosaurs and decided to just make humans instead since they were an old classic. Soon after creating the first humans on earth, he decided to just ditch dinosaurs entirely and threw an asteroid at the planet to kill them all off. He would proceed to spend the next 60 million or so years watching humanity to see what they did. Once he felt they had reached a sufficient level of civilization (in the 7th Century CE) he created a group of servants called the Archangels of Allah to go and spread worship of him among the humans so that he could guide their development more openly. The leader of this group was named Muhammad.   While they were unable to convince all of humanity, Muhammad and the others were able to convert a large portion of them centered on a region known as the Middle-East. These followers would be known as Muslims, and the religion as Islam. For the next thousand years they spread and prospered, with Muhammad and the others acting as Allah's hands in guiding them. There would be a number of setbacks on this journey, but by the 20th century the Muslims ruled over a large and technologically advanced empire that stretched from India to the Atlantic Ocean.

Jeub-Muslim War

In 1976, however, everything would change when Allah's brother Colin returned from his long absence by opening a portal in Kabul an important Muslim city and coming through. He didn't come alone, though, bringing an army of Jeubs, Angmarids, and Sentient Beards along with him. This army proceeded to attack the Islamic Empire even as Allah and Colin fought personally out in space. Allah and Colin were equally matched, however, and so the contest came down to their followers.   While the Muslims were more advanced, the Jeubs were extremely numerous, the Angmarids were powerful mages, and the Sentient Beards were skilled at infiltration. Slowly, over the course of years, the Muslims were pushed back. By the year 2013 CE, they had been pushed to the gates of the holy city Mecca itself, where they fought a desperate final battle against the Jeub menace. For a time it looked as if they might hold out as wave upon wave of jeubs was thrown back from the defenses, but eventually Muhammad himself (who had been leading the Muslims in this war) was separated from the army and swarmed by jeubs.   The shock of his most powerful servant's demise was enough to cause Allah to lose focus on his own battle for just a brief moment, giving Colin the opening he needed to strike down his brother. He was not powerful enough to kill him outright, however, and chose instead to throw him into a black hole where he would be trapped. Colin then proceeded to Break the World. Allah has remained trapped ever since, although it is believed he will break out one day and usher in the end of times.

Personality

Allah is similar to his brother Colin in a number of ways. Both want deep down to impress their father by creating something of sufficient quality and originality, but both lack the spark of creativity that would allow them to do so. They are extremely frustrated by this. Also, they are extremely powerful and tend to view mortals as pawns in their creation. The main difference between Colin and Allah is the fact that Allah is much more serious. While Colin tends to be curious and open to throwing random ideas out to see what comes of it, Allah tries harder to keep things going down the path he has decreed.   While he has not been seen since being thrown into a black hole, it is likely that in the many years spent stuck there his mood has not improved.
