Devotion, speaking to Team Ten
Devotion is a south-wind eladrin and the
Gauntlet handler for Team Ten. An amber-caste civil servant, she is characterised by her effusive and enthusiastic manner, as well as a slavish adoration for
The Empress. She has undergone numerous
AGMs to make herself look more like an aasimar, including ear-rounding and infusing her skin with gold glitter.
Devotion's life goal is to reach the Celestial City and be employed there as an aide to the court, the highest rank someone of the Amber Caste can attain. To this end, she is committed to ensuring the victory of her Team, and has offered them many 'handy tips' to help them survive the Gauntlet.
Her responsibilities as Handler include:
Making rulings on when to prescribe penalties
Answering questions asked to her via the Marks, when necessary
Greeting the team upon entry to the Gauntlet and giving them the relative statuses of the other teams
In Round two, Devotion seemed frustrated by the Roulette game and seemed prepared to cast some sort of magic when the shot was taken, although when the chamber of the gun was empty she pretended she had not been casting. She was frustrated by the Team's disappearance from their rooms in the party after the Gauntlet and seemed paranoid about the fact that they were missing.
