Mantles of Power
A Mantle of Power (sometimes referred to simply as a Mantle), is a metaphysical container of divine essence, usually related to a specific element of the universe -- such as entropy, wisdom, or time. While no definite catalogue of Mantles has ever been drafted, scholars estimate that there are at least hundreds of them in existence, many of which are held by powerful beings like the Saints, or the Great Old Ones. The gods are notably omitted from this list, as Mantles seem to avoid them, preferring to wrap around creatures who rest below the Infinite Line.
Known Mantles
Below are all the Mantles identified by the members of the Dream Team).
- Mantle of the Caliginous Soul (Tesin Movahesh)
- Mantle of the Shepherd (Isra)
- Mantle of the Twisted Soul (Cornelius)
- Mantle of the Sigil <Mind> (Chad)
- Mantle of the Tinker (Lockette Endrinmaster XII)
- Mantle of the Walker (Mist)
- Mantle of the Grandmaster (Nawa Jin / @Golo)
Manifestation
The way that Mantle manifests is intrinsically related to its focus, ranging from the flashiest of explosions to no tangible effect at all. Some are so inconspicuous that those who bear them are unaware of the Mantle's existence, perhaps for their entire lives, or until they reach a level of maturity in the supernatural arts. Depending on the individual, even otherwise noticeable Mantles may be impossible to identify -- if a fire mage's flame burns brighter than the rest, who can say if this is a natural talent, or the boon of a Mantle?
Of note, Mantle bearers can often notice another with relative ease, although likely not before the power at least partially manifests.

The Works of Albus Rickette
So many of these "Mantles" are born in the Planes of Positive and Negative Energy -- only the strongest make it to the Material Plane, where the mortals walk the treacherous path towards the divine. I would avoid them at all cost, if given the choice. The Mantle bearers seem destined to collide with each other, and the Fates are rarely kind to the weaklings that surround them...
