A gear can be wound up at the side of the mechanical jaw and when it is released, it would cause the teeth to snap up and down repeatedly, and move around with the momentum.

A set of chattering iron teeth were forged and set up by Thalmun Burrowale as part of a transaction made with Orville Wepple in order to make him return the archaeological findings he had stolen.
