Thalmun Burrowale became part of an archeological expedition venturing onto the surface of Upper Mastoria. They travelled to a ruin wherein they found a trove of historical artefacts.
30th Skrabarjeń 269 5E
On their way back to Abrenik, Thalmun and his companions pass through the city of Yaszaw and book tickets to board the Mamnomaga. They stay in the Hostel Harmonia in a shared dormitory.
1st Spriarjeń 269 5E
In the night, Thalmun experiences a strange lucid dream where he sees a battlefield littered with the corpses of Mastorian soldiers. He sees a vision of five crowns that surround him, and then a sixth crown wreathed in flame, a fire that consumes him.
He wakes up screaming, and startles his colleagues awake. In the confusion, they notice that the chest with all their archeological discoveries has been unlocked, and they find a Gnome in the process of robbing them.
The Gnome tries to persuade them that it is all simply a misunderstanding, however Thalmun grabs him and pulls him into the room. He takes the Gnome's satchel and returns what he stole to the chest. The Gnome attempts to slip a disc from the satchel, but Thalmun notices. Rather than throw the Gnome from the window as his colleague Balder suggests, the Dwarf takes the Gnome out in search of a bar.
When the two find a bar, they speak and the Gnome identifies himself as "Or, and then Ville". It takes some time to finally identify him as Orville Wepple, a failed mayoral candidate in the city of Yaszaw. Thalmun agrees to make Orville a pair of chattering fake teeth in exchange for his returning the disc.
They return to the Hostel Harmonia and there Thalmun develops a set of iron chattering teeth. The two make their exchange, and Orville attempts a sleight of hand, showing him the disc but handing him a rock. This ploy is exposed however when Thalmun asks Balder to take the artefact back to the chest, only to discover he has been given a rock.
When Orville finally relents and hands over the disc, Thalmun personally goes up to the room and stays there with the chest, binding it shut with magic.
Later in the day, Thalmun and his companions take a wagon and travel to board the Mamnomaga. Before he boards he sees a noticeboard, citing the names of multiple wanted individuals from the city of Arkeluw.
