Personal history
In the region of Nyumbashi, an Elven exile named Egnatius set up a laboratory in the Tower of Shan Maraa. Once a geneticist of the Pauri Empire, Egnatius resumed his research into the development of inter-species evolution.
In the course of his research, Egnatius began kidnapping and experimenting on the nomadic Tagaran tribes and made use of their bodies to produce a variation of life in the form of the Tagrott species.
The Tagrott were species evolved from Tagaran and Hyena, producing huge hulking monstrosities that are capable of becoming great and terrible warriors.
In order to fund his research, Egnatius would sell his creations to the various slavers that occupy the Amberic Sea, allowing him to grow rich on the backs of these innocent lives.

A litter of Tagrott would be born in the Tower of Shan Maraa, and would be raised and traded to a ship of slavers. These Tagrott would be taken as adolescents to the land of Lower Mastoria to be traded on the illegal Red Market of Istanbrakt.
One such Tagrott would be traded to a Village Elder who would take them back to a village called Sztin. This village was suffering under the threat of native wild animals and raiders, and were in desperate need of a protector, and without the aide of the local authorities, they felt they had no choice but to turn to the Red Market.
Over time, this Tagrott would prove to be a capable defender for the community, and for the first time in their life, they would be treated incredibly well and would be respected by the community.
The Tagrott would be nicknamed "Lucky" by the villagers, who would see the Tagrott as having been the decision that changed their village's fortunes and allowed them to thrive.
In spite of all this, the Village Elder would be ashamed of Lucky's origins and would opt to set Lucky free, encouraging him to leave Sztin behind and seek out a life for themselves wherever they might want to find it.
Naive to the way of the world, but keen and curious for adventure, Lucky would depart Sztin to seek new opportunities.
Lucky would first arrive at the city of Istanbrakt, wherein Lucky would read an advertisement for a mercenary contract, aiding a family on the mountain of Morka Mulkwast to rid their estate of a den of Wyvern. Lucky would enlist to assist the family.

Lucky would take a carriage up to the Mulkwast Manor estate where he would meet his fellow mercenaries employed to clear out the Wyvern Den.
The group would be taken from the estate by the Groundskeeper Gottfried Goss and would travel out to where a Wyvern Hatchling would be mourning over the body of it's mother.
When the Wyvern Hatchling would see the group approach, it would lash out and attack the party, forcing them to intervene and kill it.
The party would return to Mulkwast Manor to dine with the Mulkwast family, and would there enjoy eachothers company before all going to bed.
The group would be woken up by the sounds of screaming and would realise as the servants of Mulkwast Manor had turned into ravenous thralls and were in the process of attacking and devouring the mercenaries that were guests in the mansion.
Lucky would rise from bed to join the party and organise in dispatching the onslaught of Thralls.
