The Neon Bean, Cafe and Music

The Neon Bean is located at the very southeastern corner of Midtown, closely bordering Southside and East Pierside in a neighborhood called "The Brownstones". The building itself is an aged four story classic 'Brown Stone' of early 20th Century design, and much like the rest of the neighborhood appears to have been plucked directly out of a city from the 1930's.
Tall, narrow windows front the building and inside are booths and tables made from reclaimed lumber, with a very small counter for enjoying the baked goods or coffees that The Neon Bean serves its clients. Bare I-beams and brickwork lend the establishment an industrial feel, with hanging factory lamps serving to give the business a warm, rich atmosphere of low wattage incandescent light.
A small kitchen serves up delicious baked goods and the brownies are, some customers say, the best in the multiverse. Coffee of any sort can be had at the counter... any type. A walk-in humidor provides access to cigars, pipe tobacco and all the associated things for a person to purchase and enjoy a product-- smoking is allowed indoors, even encouraged.
The rear of The Neon Bean has a very small stage (and even smaller dance floor) where musicians may come to play. Neo-Folk, Acoustic Guitar, and more 'Earthy' music are preferred by both the staff and the clients, though electronic instruments are not forbidden.
The second floor loft boasts retro arcade games, an air hockey table, a foosball table and two pool tables.
The Neon Bean is a favorite of some of the college crowd for its quiet, its peace and its cozy atmosphere. The top two floors of the building are given over to the quarters of the owners and staff, and a hydroponics garden where quality tobaccos and marijuana are grown.

STAFF

BETHANY KURTZ: A plump woman in her early thirties, Bethany is the owner of The Neon Bean and its primary baker. She is not often seen by the patrons, spending much of her time in the kitchens or delivering catered orders. She is never seen without her pink Neon Bean knit cap and her hair color changes weekly.
SEBASTIAN KURTZ: Skinny, perpetually put-upon looking, Sebastian has numerous facial piercings and a look of perpetual disinterest in place. He is not impolite, but nor is he polite, either. Sebastian is an extremely efficient barista, speaks as little as possible, and acts as the 'face' of The Neon Bean. He is never seen without his black Neon Bean knit cap.
