Sensei Jul Kenn
A fae martial artist and mentor to Eo Tyr. He is a jovial, energetic sort, always the loudest, yet friendliest voice in a conversation. Everything he does, he does with all his heart and all his being.
Jul is one of the few faeries to have ventured off-planet, having done so seeking to hone and adapt his craft. He learned from many races and schools throughout the galaxy, and from them developed the Swarming Bee style, a martial art focused around lower-body strikes and quick movements in all directions in order to get under the guards of the larger races, utilizing a fairy's unique advantage of flight to overwhelm larger opponents from all angles. It's said that these movements are so fast that hits seem to come from too far away and from places where Jul wasn't.
In addition to honing his fighting style, Jul also took much from the culture of other races, coming to appreciate the diverse range of beliefs and perspectives, and how they all seem to manifest themselves in the heat of combat. Through his travels, he became quite adept at being able to read a person through sparring; how they felt, what they viewed important, and what they wanted could all be laid bare in how they throw a punch.
Eventually Jul returned to the Feywyld, hoping to settle down and share his discoveries with his kin. He's taken on a number of pupils, the most recent of which being Eo, the energetic, rebellious daughter of one of the most respected names in the Inner Court, Fyl Tyr. Fyl had originally hired him simply to tire her daughter out so she'd stop bouncing off the walls and learn some discipline, but Eo, an impressionable youth starved for attention, took to his teachings very well; not only to the martial aspect, but the philosophical aspect of communication with action.
