Vassart

Along the shores of Lake Ryrmon and a days worth of travel south of the capital lies the city of Vassart. A city that prospered in the days of the Burbric Empire and still an important trade port along the lake's shore. The city is ruled by the Duke of Sartonne and uncle of the king. Duke Aubrent hold little love for his nephew, suspecting him to have killed his father and Aubrent's brother. While Aubrent never openly speaks of treason, it is clear that he would support a new ruler to the throne. The king's daughter showed great qualities and Aubrent hoped to one day see he sit on the throne, but she disappeared months ago. Vassart itself is built on fertile lands and surrounded by miles and miles of farmland. Inside the city walls you'll find plenty of land dedicated to fields as well. During times of harvest the city hosts great festivals dedicated to Ylana, the Goddess of Harvest.
